FitRank ("the app") is developed by Maximilian Rofagha. This policy describes what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to any server:
With your permission, FitRank reads step count and workout data from Apple HealthKit to display activity context on your dashboard. This data is read-only and never leaves your device.
With your permission, FitRank uses your location exclusively to detect when you arrive at a saved gym (geofence). Your location is processed on-device and is never transmitted or stored remotely.
If you use the physique assessment feature, photos you submit are processed partly on-device (body pose and proportion analysis via Apple Vision) and partly through a secure AI proxy. Only a qualitative textual description — never the raw image — is sent to the proxy for interpretation. Photos you take within the app are stored locally and are not uploaded.
FitRank routes certain AI-assisted features (blood panel text parsing, qualitative physique reads, and music metadata lookup) through a Cloudflare Worker proxy operated by the developer. These requests may include text you provide (e.g. lab values you enter) or qualitative pose descriptions derived on-device. Requests are forwarded to OpenAI's API under OpenAI's privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
With your permission, FitRank sends daily motivational notifications. These are delivered via Apple's Push Notification service (APNs). No notification content is stored on any server beyond the moment of delivery.
FitRank uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous, privacy-preserving usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personally identifiable information. Events are hashed so individual users cannot be identified. See TelemetryDeck's privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only data that leaves your device is described above under "AI proxy" and "Analytics."
All app data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all associated data. There is no account system and no server-side copy of your data to request deletion of.
FitRank is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
